The Beatles music videos:
This video helped as throughout the whole, we as an audience can see the logo, which is on the drum. We also see each member of the band and how the crowd react to the band.
A large part of The Beatles success was down to the craze that their music created amongst the world, women cried and hyperventilated at their gigs, which is seen in their video.
From this video I was able to gain ideas for my digipack, for example I could do a pop culture bricolage cover to the digipack , with the added emphasis of the screaming girls faces, but with things of now-a-days involved, to create the emphasis that the band I am creating will be 21st century yet still look into the past for inspiration.
This video is more of the style that I am taking on. Its a montage of different things and people, with no special awareness throughout. This video also is in colour and The Beatles are wearing colourful clothes, which they soon became known for within their 'psychedelic days'. Within this video their is a lot less narrative structure as media had moved on from their, music videos had become established and were no longer just the artist/band performing.
This video has made me want to add colour into my digipack, as the video I have created has a lot of colour in from the bright lights, therefore adding colour into my digi pack would make my products work well together.
Merchandise:
The Beatles official store, at the moment, has the colour blue predominantly throughout. This is because the film 'Eight Days a Week' directed by Ron Howard has just been released and that whole digi pack is blue. So, to make the whole site work together, they have adapted the site to fit the most recent of release of The Beatles Merchandise.
This digi pack may not be for a CD but it has still helped me as the background on the digi pack is an image of a guitar, something iconic to The Beatles and many musicians, so I will either take a screenshot from my video that corresponds with the song, like a helter skelter, and use that as my background or I will take something unique from my bands image and use that or take an iconic sign from music and use that, to keep the digipack relevant.
The Beatles Frequent Colour Usage:
As referred to before, at the moment The Beatles Store is Blue, because of the recent release of 'Eight Days A Week' but The Beatles have been through many colours which are noticeable.
Through the 60s The Beatles made a change to their psychedelic era, which changed their image and the colour they used.

Conclusion: research into The Beatles has helped as it has shown me how much a band can change their image through time and through going into different styles and genres of music. I believe for a modern day band I will choose to go with bright colours, as The Beatles most recently released albums or compilations are also colourful, to catch the eye of a member of the public.
