STORYBOARD
This is my storyboard, it allowed me to structure my music video and allowed me to plan ahead. Some shots within this storyboard will not feature within my music video, this could be due to ;
weather
actors
location issues
etc
I am very confident that I will keep my hull fair narrative in the video as it fits the song and is visually and aesthetically impressive.
I also think I will keep the argument narrative within but I may have to re-shoot some shots and add an extra part to the narrative to make the whole video more entertaining

SYNOPSIS
I have chosen Helter Skelter by The Beatles. My idea is to create a fast paced, fast edited and visually bright video as I feel like this matches the song. I will have a split narrative, one of my narratives will be at Hull Fair and Bridlington, as both of these locations have Helter Skelter's and bright lighting. The second narrative will be an argument between a man and a woman, who are in a relationship, as I believe this is what the song is representing, a man who doesn't understand a woman. My band I will be creating will be called the 'Shotgun Shacks' and they will be a rock band, to match the songs genre.
LYRIC ANALYSIS
From analysing the lyrics I have decided that whenever it says 'Helter Skelter' there will be a clip of a helter skelter in the music video. And from looking at the lyrics the 2nd part of my narrative is of an argument, so any lyrics that could be seen as 'normal' talking in everyday life will be a part of the argument narrative.

CASTING
When preparing to film I believe it was the best idea to fully think of the cast before hand. I wanted to attract a youthful audience so, I decided to cast two members of the youth for a youthful relationship.
Other reasons for casting:
Mise en scene - Costume; youthful, branded, everyday clothing, perhaps create verisimilitude for viewers.
Location - in house, relatable for coupes who argue, as it is behind closed doors
Props - no predominant props, more just words and angry hand gestures
Lighting- red to connote passion and love yet danger.
Cinematography- Two shot; unity but also the break up of the unity they used to have
over the shoulder; we see from the characters POV
POV- we see and feel like a part of the story as the characters are identifying us
Editing- Shot reverse shot- discussion, feel a part of the story, break of the 4th wall.
cross cut, between hull fair and argument narrative, represent the frantic situation
The image above are the two people I casted. This was from my first draft. I chose to stick with this cast as from my audience feedback I was able to develop an understanding that my target audience could relate to the situation and the video.
